Wireless - Flowcat safety valve
Where the tubing retrievable safety valve or control line has failed, FlowCAT provides a more dependable alternative to ambient valves or storm chokes. Being retrofitted, surface controlled and fail-safe, FlowCAT provides a cost effective alternative to performing a well workover and enhances the integrity and safety of the well.

The CaTS wireless telemetry is also being used to control the FlowCAT retrofit downhole safety valve which can be deployed into the well using slickline. A signal is transmitted continuously from surface which keeps the valve open. If the signal transmission is interrupted or an ESD event occurs then the valve closes, providing a fail safe system which offers several advantages over traditional ‘storm chokes’.
