Tercel provides both matrix and steel body impregnated bits with an even diamond distribution along the bit profile. These bits are dedicated for drilling in hard and highly abrasive formations.
Tercel’s formation relevant matrix technology (soft, medium, hard and ultra hard) uses an H2 furnace process to lower the infiltration temperature guaranteeing higher diamond integrity. With the steel body technology, the impregnated blocks are brazed at up to 650 degree C in the blades – much like a PDC bit.
At a high RPM impregnated bit technology is not as affected as other bits by pore pressure and mud weight in low permeability formations.
With operators increasingly facing applications with higher blades and cutter counts, Tercel’s impregnated bits can increase diamond content by as much as 100% and lead to increased ROP and improved drilling stability.
