Maverick Downhole Technologies takes a unique
approach to conventional cup tool designs.
Not only does the thermal cup tool have
thermal cups rated to 600F and centralization
for smooth run-in and improved reliability, it
has the option of a closeable fluid port inside
the downhole-facing cup. These fluid ports
dump fluid from the annulus of the tool into
the tubing, minimizing seal energization of
the downhole facing cup and reducing the
swabbing effect from running in the hole. The
new Maverick design allows for increased run-in
speeds and decreased cup wear.
