CoreOxy is a safe and very environmentally friendly oxygen scavenger designed for use in sea water, brine flushing fluids, other water-based fluids and packer fluids to assist in preventing oxygen-mediated corrosion of steel.
It is normally used in conjunction with aqueous film-forming corrosion inhibitors to provide enhanced action. It is compatible with all brine types and suitable for use at temperatures up to and over 160°C. CoreOxy is free from sulphite and toxic hydrazines and, when stored in its dry powder form, retains its stability in long-term storage. It reacts virtually instantly with dissolved oxygen when dissolved in water or brine. CoreOxy has been registered with CEFAS and has been awarded the highest possible (Gold band) environmental rating.
