CoreCide is a very effective biocide suitable for use in water-based drilling fluids, flushing fluids and packer fluids to prevent the growth of bacteria, including the corrosion-supporting S.R.B, fungi and yeasts.
CoreCide is compatible with all brine types, with sea water and, when used as directed, is fully compatible with CoreHib corrosion inhibitor and with CoreOxy oxygen scavenger. CoreCide is not compatible with bisulphite or sulphite-based scavengers.
CoreCide is an effective and safer alternative to gluteraldehyde and is completely water-miscible.
Also readily biodegradable and will not bio-accumulate, making this a very environmentally responsible biocide additive. CoreCide has been registered with CEFAS and has been awarded the highest possible (Gold band) environmental rating.
