The Coretrax® Hydro MACS™ is a hydraulically functioned multi activation circulating sub that can be run in milling, drilling and wellbore clean-up strings. It is functioned by dropping an activation ball and pressuring up the string which will cycle the Hydro MACS™. The ball will be caught in an internal ball catcher. The same type of ball is used to repeat the process to cycle the tool and close the ports allowing circulation through the full string. The Hydro MACS™ has two primary positions, stroked open allows fluid flow to be fully directed through the ports into the annulus providing an increased TFA when required. The second position, where the tool is stroked closed, allows full circulation through the entire string. Standard ball catchers will hold 14 balls giving 7 full open/closed cycles.
