The Pump-Off Check Valve allows for circulating sand and solids while tripping tubing in the hole under pressure. Upon landing tubing at surface, a ball is dropped and pumped down to the tool. This causes the aluminum insert locking mechanism to shear and release. Once released, a full I.D. is left in the production tubing.
