Inflow Control
Tendeka’s focus on ensuring an evenly distributed flow profile has resulted in the creation of a specialized range of inflow control solutions.

Long horizontal wells can increase productivity and recovery of oil by increasing reservoir contact, however, uneven production due to reservoir heterogeneity, fractures or frictional pressure losses along the length of the horizontal bore can lead to early water or gas breakthrough in these wells.

Inflow Control Devices (ICDs) create a more even inflow by producing an additional pressure drop at inflow points along the reservoir. Similarly, ICD are used in water injection applications to promote an even outflow of water to improve sweep efficiency.

Deployed as part of the lower completion using zone isolation packers to divide the reservoir into inflow compartment, the ICD can be integrated with sand control screens for soft formations, or within short subs for harder formations.

Tendeka has advanced ICD technology to increase the functionality of these devices to allow circulation during deployment, prevent cross flow and autonomously choke back unwanted water and gas production once break-through occurs.

Benefits
•Delays water and gas breakthrough in oil producing wells by creating an even inflow along the wellbore.
•Can autonomously reduce water and gas production once breakthrough occurs
•Increased sweep efficiency in water injection wells by ensuring an even outflow
•Increased sand control reliability by reducing annular flow velocities
•Eliminating the requirement for washpipe for circulation.
•Prevents cross-flow in multi-layer oil and gas wells
•Reduced fines production in water injection by preventing backflow
