As the search for oil and gas goes deeper, new wellhead systems have to be developed to meet the challenges of longer casing strings, heavier loads, higher pressures and higher temperatures. Dril-Quip’s 18-3/4" SS-20 BigBore III Subsea Wellhead System has been designed to do just that. The BigBore III Subsea Wellhead System is also designed for wells that penetrate shallow water flow zones and require additional casing strings to accommodate small pore pressure/fracture gradient differentials when drilling deepwater, deep well 20,000 psi applications.
