The PowerTrac® Stroker Shifting Tool(SST) is used in combination with the PowerTrac® Stroker.
The SST is deployed slick with the shifting dogs retracted into the tool body (centraliser housing), to ensure that it cannot hang up in well profiles during conveyance. At the required working depth, the SST is activated and deactivated by the PowerTrac® Stroker. Completion valves like Schlumberger MFIV or other sleeves can be manipulated downwards in the same run.
To secure an effective performance, qualification tests are performed before each operation (in onshore test cells).
The SST systems are as of today qualified to manipulate: Schlumberger MFIV 9-5/8 in MFIV-II-9X 8.250 X 4.250. (Drift ID 4,205 in). Opening direction is down.
