Since the introduction of our scale milling service in 2006 we have removed more than 5000 meters of scale by utilizing wireline tractor technology.
The services
By adding a rotational adapter to our wireline tractor – the PowerTrac® Advance™ – we are able to perform mechanical operations previously only achievable with slickline and coiled tubing. Slickline operations are limited by well deviation – the PTA® tractor can reach far out in horizontal well sections.
The PTA® tractor can perform operations like scale milling, brushing and honing of sealbores, and is a cost-effective, time-saving and HSE risk reducing operational alternative for the client.
